Civil Servants Allowed to Drop Off Children on the First Day of School

The Jakarta Provincial Government has provided leniency for State Civil Apparatus (ASN) within the Jakarta Provincial Government to accompany their children on the first day of school.

civil servants are permitted to do so

This policy is outlined in Circular Letter No. 22/SE/2026 from the Regional Secretary of Jakarta Province concerning permission to drop off children on the first day of school. Under this regulation, civil servants are permitted to drop off their children at school until 12 PM.

Pramono Commits to Prioritizing Health and Education

"School drop-offs are permitted on Monday and Wednesday until 12 PM. This has been regulated in detail," said Pramono, Monday (7/13).

Pramono added this is a form of support from the Jakarta Provincial Government for parental involvement in their children's education.

"The Jakarta government fully supports parents dropping off children at school. Therefore, civil servants are permitted to do so," he added.

Through this circular letter, civil servants have the flexibility to participate in childcare, particularly in providing education. They can drop off their children at school on the first day of school, which can be Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, depending on each school's schedule.
